JERUSALEM, July 30 (Reuters) – Israeli startup TokenAds, which has developed technology for advertising with web, social and mobile games, said it expects revenue to double in 2014 after a 143 percent jump in 2012-2013.
In-game advertising is estimated to reach $2.67 billion by 2017, while the global gaming industry is on track to reach close to $103 billion, TokenAds said.
It said on Wednesday it has launched an advertising software called Woobi, which identifies and addresses each user’s optimal preferences during game play that allows for tailored advertising content.
“Our … technology blends into the game and adds value at the optimal timing, benefiting game publishers, advertisers and gamers,” said Chaya Soggot, TokenAds’ chief executive and co founder. “TokenAds strives to change the perception of in-game advertising, from irrelevant clutter to a fun, relevant and valuable service.” (Reporting by Steven Scheer)
